The topics that make me love my job

Things that I like about being a software engineer:

design patterns -
They can unleash the real creative power of a programming language. Constructing modules according to a design pattern is like being a software architect. I have always seen programming as a design task, not as of all-possible-ingredient code soup, despite the fact that, one usually starts the second way :)

But the best thing about programming is when you are done for the day...
You head is close to explosion, you thoughts are scattered all around, your eyes daze uncoordinated.
To prevent the nightmares full of bugs and breakpoints the only thing left to do is turn on some tender chill-out female-fronted metal like OTEP  and SCREAAAAM.
